Goldflower

The town’s guardian angel, per se.

The daughter of two diplomats, Goldflower had a natural affinity for negotiation and cooperation. Although her parents encouraged her to branch out, she always knew she wanted to work in Haven’s public relations. She worked as the secretary of Haven's previous diplomat, Anbar, (under whom she also studied,) until his departure. Although he'd always strongly suggested that Goldflower be the next diplomat for the town, Mirth hesitated, believing her to be too soft spoken and accommodating for the negotiations that would often be required of her. However, ultimately trusting her first diplomat's choice and unwilling to go against the wishes of the town's inhabitants, she appointed her.

Goldflower exceeded Mirth's expectations with flying colors. She was gentle and accommodating in public affairs, yes, but on the field of negotiation, she had taken more after the persuasive pearlcatcher than she'd initially believed her to (although luckily lacked his tinge of cockiness).

Today, she remains Haven’s residential diplomat, responsible for forging many of the town’s alliances and sponsorships.

Goldflower is widely beloved in the town for her kindness and contributions, but she’s never let it get to her head. Like her predecessor, she has a good heart, and strives to spread goodness wherever she can.
