"You know.. I hate being a Nocturne. Why do I gotta be.. this?"
4/11/23.

An ancient dragon breed had just been uncovered in the Scarred Wasteland, a dragon unlike any other. They were known to be aggressive, had fluffy manes, snaggleteeth, shredded wings, and mangled horns. They were named Aberrations, and deemed as such. Their disheveled appearance wasn't what made them stand out the most, though, what made them stand out was much more unique. They had two tails, but most importantly, they had two heads. Arclan had never laid eyes on one, until now.

Squelch had hated being a Nocturne all his life. He hid from the entire village since he hatched from the egg. A few other dragons had seen him once in a blue moon, but they assumed he was a traveller. One day, Squelch exited his den to gather materials. He then saw Cadenza preforming magic on other dragons, reading from a scroll. The appearance of the dragons changed gradually, yet very, very quickly. By the end of the scroll, they had changed into entirely different dragons. Their markings were different, a new color had made an appearance, or even their breed attributes had changed. Squelch's interest was piqued by this, and he decided to make it a point to speak to Cadenza. A week later, he got the chance to speak to her, and made arrangements to change himself. These scrolls were expensive, though, so Squelch volunteered to pay for them himself. Cadenza told him that he didn't have to, as she enjoyed helping other dragons, but Squelch insisted. He collected all of the scrolls lightning fast, and Cadenza was surprised. It only took him a few days, while she was expecting atleast two weeks. Cadenza was proud of him, and immediately started the spells. Only, something went wrong, when it came to the last scroll.. It was counterfeit! Instead of changing the markings on the majority of Squelch's body, his skin just.. disappeared. Gone, with no trace. It surprised both Squelch and Cadenza immensely, and they both had wildy different reactions. Squelch took it in stride, and preferred it over having skin, while Cadenza FREAKED. It took a while for him to calm her down, but eventually she stopped. The other dragons were more surprised by Cadenza's episode than Squelch's missing skin. Things go awry in Arclan constantly, after all. That's also where Squelch got his name from. Every time he takes a step, it sounds... interesting.

Squelch is a very humorous man, like his mate, Nekros. He takes everything in stride, even having no skin! He is very good at managing his emotions, and stays upbeat in most situations. Squelch does tend to make gruesome jokes, and has some super thick skin (metaphorically..). He's almost TOO good at handling things. Squelch is one of the Plague representatives of the village, and also a butcher. He enjoys teaching about the Plague flight and all of the gruesome things within it, alongside Nekros. Squelch also enjoys hunting, foraging, and just doing things in nature with Nekros. They know way too many things about wildlife and anatomy, and they are so gay for eachother. My god.

Nekros and Squelch have close ties with Exile, despite not being allowed to. They were both born in the Scarred Wasteland, and would rather stay there, though they have jobs in Arclan. The residents of Exile are aware of this, and are no longer wary of Nekros and Squelch, due to their mental unstability. We love that in Exile, you know. Nekros and Squelch are like the dads of Exile. When they come by, everyone welcomes them, and they always bring goodies. Squelch's role in Exile is similar to the one he has in Arclan. He is a butcher, and he contributes to Mesa's library with anatomy books. Squelch isn't the best at grammar, though, so Mesa has to help him out. When Mesa is busy, Gab helps out.
