Biography

Dedicated protector and brother to Lucent
Half-sibling to Mythrine

Morrow was fighting. He was fighting through the Keir Efinar though each day he stayed in this his father's clan it sunk it's claws deeper. He knew it was time to leave but it wasn't quite the time. He had to wait and learn when the new nest was going to hatch.

"Are you sure this is the right way?" Lucent asked her brother, Morrow, for the numerous time. "Do you really know where you are going?"

Morrow sighed at his younger sister and with a clipped tone he replied, "Yes, Lucent. I know where we are going. I told you before I scouted this place out before I went back to fetch you."

"Yes, but you haven't told me where we are going, now have you. I don't see how that's very fair." Lucent flapped her wings though they weren't quite strong enough for her to take flight just yet. She hopped through the decaying grass with ease her claws clicking against the hard rock below. It was surprising anything managed to grow in this wasteland. "Can't we just fly?"

"Your wings aren't strong enough to even lift off."

Morrow prodded her wings and she stumbled to the side with a glare. "But you could fly both of us."

"We've been over this. Along with the many other reasons we've been over this is a good time to let you grow into your magic before we get to where we are going."

Lucent flapped through the air doing fancy loops and circling around Morrow. Levelling out to glide beside Morrow he cut her off before she could even open her mouth.

"Yes, finally. Yes, we are almost there. See, look over there."

The sun shone and Lucent had to squint to see ahead. She could just make out a stone structure and a large yellow and red dragon who seemed to be waiting, though they weren't looking in Morrow and Lucent's direction.

"Is that who we are meeting?"

"Yes, that is Mythrine," Morrow relented. "Our sister."

"What is going on Morrow?" Lucent frowned as she felt her magic change. It expanded. It was doing something she didn't understand. "My magic, what's going on?"

Morrow shuffled closer to Lucent and said in a tone far gentler then she was used to from her brother, "It's okay. You are helping Mythrine as you have helped me. Or starting to. As you know I didn't leave out parents' clan in time and I was infected by the Keir Efinar but I took you away before you could be infected."

Lucent nodded. She had once asked why he felt different and it took them a while to figure out that she was feeling the effects of the Keir Efinar on his magic.

"I found that while I was with you, you keep it at bay. The magic doesn't run as wild and it calms the symptoms." Morrow motioned towards the red obelisk. "I knew our sister would keep us safe but I wasn't sure how your innate magic would do being around hers. If it would do anything at all. But I didn't want to risk our sister's magic harming yours while yours was still developing."

"I see. I- well, thank you, Morrow." Lucent ducked her head, she had thought her brother was just doing that annoying older sibling thing where they don't really answer any questions you have for the sake of it. "But, what is my magic doing to Mythrine then?"

They turned to look at the obelisk who was now approaching. "Hello, I've been expecting you. Though," she looked puzzled as her eyes flickered between the two, "...you came sooner than I thought." And after another moment, where she seemed to stare into nothingness. Her confusion layered heavily in her tone, "I- what are your names?"

"I'm Lucent! And that's my brother Morrow!" Lucent chirped.
