darcy is a lifeguard and swimming teacher. unable to fly, she finds she doesn't need it, instead finding grace and dexterity beneath the waves. she teaches other dragons, especially snapper hatchlings, to swim.

she has recently begun dating altum, a skydancer tarot reader in the wharf. darcy had been too nervous to start proper conversation, and instead paid for far too many readings as an excuse to talk to altum. altum now sits in on lessons sometimes, and they go for swims together in the evening.
