Biography:
Hearing about how his beloved mate River had experienced such terrible self-esteem issues when she was younger, and how she was preyed upon by a monstrous alchemist who promised she could turn her into "the most beautiful dragon to ever grace Sornieth," only to test all manner of cosmetic potions on her and warp her into an unrecognizable version of herself, made Tieg's blood boil with vicious rage. How could someone do something so awful to such a lovely dragon?
Tieg promised River that he would hunt down the alchemist that mutated her so cruelly, and take revenge for her... but along the way, the Guardian has found that there are many other dragons that deserve punishment as well. After he had hunted down Tango in her underground cavern and finally exacted his mate's revenge -- breaking the alchemist's jaw, upturning her cauldron and spilling her newest brew across her scales to scald her terribly, and trashing all of her shelves laden with expensive reagents for her work -- he took to the road, vowing to become an avatar of justice. He would right all of Sornieth's wrongs that he could. He would seek justice for the small, the gentle, the kind, and the defenseless.
River cares for their hatchlings in his absence, awaiting her mate's return with bated breath.

PERSONALITY
 Passionate and caring to a fault. Prone to righteous, blinding anger. He does objectively bad things for the best of reasons. It's easy to get on his good side -- just be a friendly, kind dragon, and he will protect your goodness with every bit of his strength. He believes there isn't enough good in the world, and wants to protect whatever light he can with his life. Maybe a bit cynical. Maybe his Charge is kindness? It would explain why he's so inexplicably drawn to protect kind dragons. He couldn't really answer that question, himself -- he doesn't feel like protecting kind strangers is his Charge, but he has never felt particularly drawn to The Search, either. Hm.
HISTORY
A sudden bout of wanderlust spurred the Guardian to venture far from his home in the Arcane territories, and over the months, his travels eventually brought him to the Sunbeam Ruins! It was within the Hewn City that he found his beloved mate, and -- shortly thereafter -- his true purpose in life. |
