A very feet-on-the-ground sorts, Noir is far more serious than his adoptive brother, Finch. Realizing Finch had no memory of his life or family prior to forming his clan, Noir took on the role of being the family that he never had. Despite his hardened appearances, he's very cool-headed and relaxed, only letting his self that's seen the heat of battle show when his clan is in danger or any other time when he considers it absolutely necessary. In his spare time, he's typically found locked up in the nearest library reading up on ancient history or working diligently on his weapon smithing hobby. He and his brother take up the roles of being the commanders of the clan's guard and last line of defense, which is an honor he wears with great pride.
Although Finch's animal "collecting" habit normally drives him up the wall, he does take a shine to the furrier critters that Finch brings home on occasion. His chinchilla companion is a trusted friend who Noir's hesitant to go anywhere without. His Trickster familiar also acts as a sentry to help him stake out his clan's territory more efficiently (and stealthily), warning him and the others of danger long before it approaches.
