Matris Ossium. The most common title given to the ebony Skydancer by all of her hatchlings, as well as all other clanmates. Second in command to Malum, the petite dragon speaks softly, all the while carrying great power. As one of the healers, her opinion and decisions carry great respect throughout the entire clan. Many of the hatchlings devote their time to her company, tailing after the elegantly macabre dressed dragon. Though outsiders reel back in shock, fellow lairmates stare in awe at the adornments of bones and skulls that hang from the dancer's wings. Multiple shapes and sizes drape from the tattered wings, though a few remain nestled within the feathers.

Her wings have become a cemetary to her fallen children, those of which were unable to survive the rotting disease of the Plaguebringer. Dedicating her entire plumage to her hatchlings, the somber mother spends her days catering to those that survive, carefully grooming and raising each of her babies for the sake of her clan, but most of all her mate.

From the outside, most presume this is to please Malum. One would think the Patriarch wishes to have only the strongest children. But it is far from true. Each and every hatchling lost weighs heavily on the ruler, sending the dragon into weeks of mourning, skulking about the empty nests, collecting the bones for his lover.
