⫸ A young earth mage born with the ability to sense vibrations in the ground. Opponents will find him impossible to ambush on foot, but Yarrow finds himself overwhelmed with crowds and bustling cities. He prefers solitude, and the company of only a few dragons at once -- Ideally no one. Regularly copes with migraines and insomnia. He currently works as a sword-for-hire in his mother's band of mercenaries, The Rushdown. She likes to call it a family business. Yarrow doesn't hesitate to use more imaginative terms to refer to the band.
⫸ He’s a perfectionist, growing up his mother raised and trained him in the art of business, survival and combat. He's learned to be merciless and unforgiving of mistakes as she was, sacrificing every flaw he’s had in order to succeed. Idle chatter is worthless to him, and prospective clients will find him as sharp as a knife. He's never had a paternal figure in his life, but has no interest in meeting him. After all, the past is meant to be left behind.
⫸ After a bitter argument with his mother, Yarrow struck out on his own, for a year into the barren, empty plains of dragonhome. He's returned back to Cayenne's side, even bringing an (uninvited) friend with him. But something is off. No one knows what to make of it... He's always been angry, but now it seems like his mood is always stormy. These days, his smiles are always full of malice and scorn. Hazel, his personal leech seems to know more than he lets on.
R E L A T I O N S
72210591.png Cayenne (Mother): Despite Yarrow's return, their relationship is still on the rocks. Much has changed since he was gone, and he is still coming to terms with the new dynamic of the group. But the conflict that led Yarrow to leave the band still remains, and the two wait in stubborn silence, refusing to acknowledge it.
84898489.png Amaro (Sister-Figure): One of the few Yarrow's few friends, a blind hermit of few words with a spirit as ruthless and competitive as he is. He'd rather die before admitting it, but she's one of the few things that scare him.
72674156.png Hazel (Companion): An eccentric artist, who chatters non-stop about his upcoming novel and continues to pester Yarrow with his presence. It seems as though Yarrow only keeps him around as a verbal punching-bag, who just so happens to be as slanderous as Yarrow is. They trade tongues like how gay people trade swords, in Hazel’s dream.
