the lullaby soothes, don't pry apart the lid for even a moment...

Don't follow the song. Plug your ears. Bury your head into your pillow - whatever
you must do to stop your feet from waltzing in time, carrying you away to the place Below.

But if you find yourself swept away, whatever you do, don't look at the trees.
Pay no mind to their unblinking eyes, following your every step.

Don't think about the door. That strange, grey portal to the unknown, a soft and
sorrowful voice calling your name just behind it... begging for help, pleading for
you to open it. Shake your head no. Think of something, somewhere far away.
Think of anything but that door. Whatever you do, don't open the door.

And don't forget. . . he's with you in the dark.
