Biography
Pestilence Hawthorne || Gothic SAR Recruiter | He/Him || Straight |
Hailing out from the Cloudscrape Crags where life has always been dreary and difficult enough that only the dragons with the strongest of wills could survive...
Mr Hawthorne is as hardy as they come. But not in the way that one imagine when hearing that. He comes from a big family who has always been very involved in his life, helping to shape him into a responsible and respectable gentleman, and indulging him in his bizarre family's love of all things macabre. They're outcasts from society and they wouldn't have it any other way, so long as they're together in it. And community he has - as he was thankfully wed to his beautiful wife Harmony on a very dark, creepy night many years ago in his young adulthood. They were absolutely taken with each other, and that love has never faded as they've built a life together. Leaving home to find their own place together out in the Starwood Strand after hearing they were so dedicated to all things creepy that they possessed an archival facility just for the documentation of ghosts, ghouls, and creatures! What other place would they find community in than amongst those with a passion for the paranormal? They have now lived in the small town for a number of years now, fortunate enough to find employment at SAR due to their passion and Pestilence's charisma, and all is well. There is always so much happening after all that catches their interest. They are not two to meddle, oh no, not at all! Don't get them wrong! But it's so much more their style to be somewhere that has gossip revolving around whether the local priest has been eating his followers or if the famous artist down the street they adore so much has secretly murdered his lover.A gentleman in many sense of the word! Pestilence has a big presence about himself due to his particular style and interests, but he has always done his best to be a very respectful man like his mother taught him to be. He is always eager to be helpful, lending an ear wherever someone needs one to listen and offering his very best advice... though being who he is, it isn't always the most helpful. You're not really supposed to tell someone to poison the people making their life difficult with such enthusiasm. But he does his best to mind his manners, despite often saying things that some may consider 'rude' due to their creepy nature (most people don't catch that you're calling them beautiful when you instead say 'ghoulish'), and is always very eager too to encourage others to be comfortable and express themselves as they please. The world is far more interesting when we all embrace what makes us devilishly unique. He is loud, proud, and a lovely man to be around even if he does find a good beheading to be a fascinating show.
Partnered with Harmony, his beloved wife of many years who he adores more than death itself.
