Chu Wanning’s disciple in 《二哈和他的白猫师尊》 Husky and His White Cat Shizun. His death sets off a chain of events in the "bad" timeline that leads to Mo Ran becoming Taxian Jun. When Mo Ran is given a chance to re-live his life, he decides to do everything he can to keep Shi Mei safe and alive. Shi Mei is a gentle and soft-spoken young man, and often finds himself playing mediator between his fellow disciples, Mo Ran and Xue Meng who often butt heads. An orphan, his name was chosen by the sect leader, and has the misfortune of being a homophone for "junior sect-sister". Although in many ways he seems to fulfill the trope of a sect-sister- he's beautiful, kind, patient, excellent at making food, and, in the "bad" timeline, tragically dead before his time - there is more to him than meets the eye, and Chu Wanning has picked up on a hidden bloodthirsty nature his disciple has had from a young age. As his element is water, he struggles with offensive magic, instead focusing on studying the healing arts. His familiar is named 长恨 chang hen - everlasting hatred - after 八苦长恨花, the Flower of Eight Sufferings and Everlasting Hatred Major spoilers beyond the official English translation Shi Mei is actually a member of the demon race Butterfly-Boned Beauty Feast, who are known for their attractiveness and crying golden tears. Most cultivators see them as no more than animals, and many meet horrific ends at the hands of cultivators as they can be used to increase cultivation levels through various means. Shi Mei has dedicated himself to returning his people to the safety of their home in the Demon Realm, and he is willing to do anything to achieve his goals.
