Once, Themis' armor shone bright and shining in the sun. Once she walked the streets of her home with pride, knowing that she was the shield between the innocent and the wicked, the one that kept her people safe.

But now her armor is dusty and dull, the metal pockmarked and tarnished. Now she has no home save the open road.

She does not talk about her fall, the circumstances that led up to her departure. She refuses to list out the lies and the betrayals, the righteous indignation, the injustice that burned in her breast.

No, instead she prefers to focus upon the here and now, and forget that the past exists. Here, she is a sword for hire, a mercenary with a quick blade and stony demeanor, one that takes her job very, very seriously.

Right now that job is to follow around a flittering, glittering dancer while they travel from place to place, providing entertainment and honing their craft. At first she found the spiral insufferable; now though, you'd be hard put to separate the two. Rumor has it there might even be something more there, but Themis certainly won't talk about that either.
