Poppy was believed to be raised by Basilisks.
She was found one day when a couple dragons from Clan Cadence were fighting in the Scorched Forests, where she was being protected by a couple the animals. She stood up for herself and went back to the clan with the dragons, curious about these creatures who looked similar to her. She joined the clan along with a basilisk who came with her.
Poppy’s behavior is odd and bird-like. She doesn't speak much, but instead communicates through hissing and chirping. As in: hissing when she's angry, and chirping when she's happy. She prefers the company of familiars over other dragons most of the time, and acts in a way that seems like she can communicate with them; at least understand their body language and vocalizations. Her expertise and skill with the creatures convinced Aeris to name Poppy the Clan’s “Familiar Caretaker”; charged with watching over the Familiars of the Clan who do not have Dragons to be companions for. She also keeps track of the Familiars that she would like to join her ranks, in the form of a wishlist that she keeps scrawled in a book Persephone gave her. Poppy can’t write well, so the book is mostly filled with crude drawings and messy notes. 		5202.png
