Aurora

The Aurora is a sentient starship who the Mechanisms call home. Originally a moon she was taken in by Dr. Carmilla who would eventually create the Mechanisms. It is unknown how she ended up in her current starship form but while she was with the Cyberian military they implemented AI. She is made of three parts; her main hull, the O'Neil ring where the Mechanisms normally reside and her solar sails which are woven and maintained by a population of mechanical spiders. She is in a relationship with Nastya.

Who are the Mechanisms?

The Mechanisms were a story telling band following the immortal space pirate crew of the Starship Aurora, their albums are a space themed twist on various stories and mythologies.

I 100% recommend them to anyone who likes mythologies, space, LGBTQ+ stories or just looking for a good piece of media. Be warned their tales can be dark and contain foul language. If you are a fan of the Magnus Archives, the voice actors of Jon, Basira, Jordan Kennedy (the exterminator in episodes 55 and 184) and Nikola Orsinov were band members.

The band's website (where I have pulled some info), Luckysevens on Tumblr and the band's wiki are good starting place for diving into the lore of the band.

I recommend listening to their albums in this order Once Upon a time, Ulysses, High Noon, Bifrost Incident, tales to be told/Frankenstein.

Project lore

Lore will be in the form of excerpts from journal entries created by Inspector 2nd Class Lyfrassir Edda with additional info without a POV.

The lore of the project will not completely align with the cannon as I'm using this project to help develop a fic I'm working on. It will be a mash of what is provided by the band and my ideas to fill the gaps with some shifts to timelines and changes to cannon to account for events that happen in the story. Please don't take any lore listed in their bios as fact.

Fandragon project

This project has been started to make use of old dragons in my den who were collecting dust. Their breed, colors,pose and genes don't matter, the focus on the project is on their apparel and skins (if they have any).
