Kitchen Chaos

"Cooking is not difficult. Everyone has taste, even if they don't realize it. Even if you're not a great chef, there's nothing to stop you understanding the difference between what tastes good and what doesn't."

Most people when they cook will assiduously follow recipes written by others. Occasionally there will be small changes made to taste, but few are as truly adventurous as they could be with their culinary choices.

... And then there's Madcap. The wildly manic snapper LOVES to cook. Recipes, for her, lasted only as long as she knew what the ingredients tasted like and how to finesse them with different methods of cooking. Now she looks at recipes as more like guidelines. A list of ingredients is all she needs - there is no following the amounts. Her memory for everything Madcap has ever tasted makes it so that she can finesse the taste in her mind before she even opens a pot.

While she experiments with different flavors, textures, and techniques all the time, for all the randomness she throws around no one can deny she has a talent for finding unusual combinations of foods that work. Madcap's sunny nature while she's in the kitchen is absolutely catching. She'll sing and monologue randomly while cooking, so you get a meal and a show at the same time. Anyone drawn into her domain is immediately drafted into being a taste tester, so you often find a group of hungry hatchlings just out of her way and waiting for a spoon of something to be popped into their mouths.

For all Madcap looks strange and acts as if she were a perpetual motion machine, she is gentle and sweet. The food court wouldn't be the same without her, and everyone else is glad to have her aboard.
