Isn't it lovely, all alone? Heart made of glass, my mind of stone

hatched from an abandoned egg, left deep in the ground, on the first day of the new year
he was a simple, red and purple, small nocturne when he hatched

there was a sort of odd magic about the child; he was also very curious, but he could barely see anything in the darkness of the cave that he was hatched in, so he decided to wait until it got lighter.

he waited for a solid three days, until his hunger drove him away from the scattered fragments of his eggshell and deeper into the caves, in seach of food
he searched for several hours, but the caves were nearly bare; the only living creatures were bats, swooping and flying high in the caves, diving between the stalactites.

she treated him very kindly but underneath she was extremely evil
after his first three days there, the fourth day he woke up in a bone cage in a dark cave
he had just learned to talk and tried to ask what was going on but nothing but echoes answered him
several hours passed; he saw at one time a flash of light and a circular opening in one of the cave walls with hints of silver inside, but the opening dissappeared almost at once; however, some of the silver was left floating in the cave, and it floated towards him. When he sucked a breath in in suprise, he inhaled it. He now has a small piece of moon magic embedded in him. (he saw the residue of Ibis's portal and her moon magic. He is now forever connected to Ibis; she feels as though she recognizes him when she sees him but cannot explain why until later when he draws out what happened in the cavern)
as he waits and gets hungrier he starts to turn into himself becoming closed and miserable
when the hag finally arrives she intends to drain his magic and drink it herself; she tells him she has been doing it for quite a long time and is hundreds of years old

he shrinks in fear; she laughs, unlocks the cage, drags him out by his neck
she is about to chant her spell to drain his magic and very life from him when the hag suddenly decides against it. with a malicious grin, she determines that, since she did not need more lifemagic at that very moment, Fantocha (as she named him, it means puppet) would be her servant, bound to her in magic and unable to speak.
she throws him back in the cage as he trembles in fear, whimpering
after a few minutes she arrives with a needle, some thread, and a very old spellbook
before he can react she grabs him with an unnatural flash of speed, pins him on the cave floor, and starts threading his wings with the needle while chanting a spell
the pain is nearly unbearable and his howls fill the cavern, but even before his first full throb of agony is finished being vocalized, his voice is stolen from him by the hag as she chants another line something contorted in latin or french saying "your voice forever shall be mine; unspoken, silence and obedience sublime"
As he howls in silent pain power surges up from within him; she was working with lightning speed and had almost completely sewn his body in patches, almost like a new skin; but she was thrown back by a blinding flash of white (moonlight) and purple (arcane) light. Only one thread hung loose from his mane, preventing the sealing of the curse.
the hag was knocked out and Fantocha fled blindly, eventually finding a way into a forest out of the caves. He was starving, but fortunatley found a whole berry patch and gorged himself on blueberries and blackberries.

he wandered, unable to call for help, and was eventually found by a scouting team of the Seer Clan (ibis was amoung them; she suddenly took off and led the whole group straight to Fantocha, as she sensed his presence)

he could be the dragon drowning in the river that gilded saved with his fishy talking powers?
