Calypso

Adopted baby sister to Cattleya.

Abandoned. A single egg, abandoned in the Scarred Wasteland- an unfortunately common sight in the land of the Plague flight.

Maybe her parents weren't able to fight off the infection of it all well enough. Maybe they thought she wouldn't survive- that she wouldn't hatch and wanted to keep her away to not be eternally reminded of such a tragedy. The reason matters not in the end, as the child hatched all alone. Or so the story would've gone, had a certain other dragon not interfered.

Cattleya, born of Shadow but with a song of fire, had taken the egg from the plague-ridden land, having originally meant to try and find a plant to gather that only grew in the Scarred Wasteland- a paradoxical existence. She knew of what would happen if she didn't interfere- and couldn't bear this one to be sacrificed.

Thus the egg was hatched in the land of Shadow, being raised as not a daughter, but a sister of the Bane that saved the newly named Calypso from death's grasp.
