She is an excellent Traveler, like the Monarch, but her skills lie in emotional prescience and stem from knowledge of the self. With her other two mates, she teaches the hatchlings of the Laospí everything a proper member should know by adulthood. Marvolo helps the young become emotionally literate and structures a method of improvement through self-discovery. When she isn't teaching, Marvolo retains the infinite bounds of patience she exhibits around the chatty children but is much more cozily reserved. She has no primary or permanent mate, but Severn and Chena are both partners she's taken. Her low-key optimism sets others at ease and she uses her position as Elder to protect the virtues of honesty and forgiveness within the Clan.
