Kohara hatched from an egg that was found near a fatally wounded nocturne, discovered by Corrus while she prowled through Wyrmwound.
Corrus spent the nocturne's final moments with her and promised the dying mother to bring the egg somewhere safe.
Upon returning to Themoros' lair, Corrus handed the egg over to Vliss who gleefully took over tending to it from then on. Kohara unqestioningly considers Vliss her mother.

She is a joyful and sociable nocturne with beaming amber eyes and a contagious ice melting laugh. She is a little spoiled and loves receiving gifts, with a penchant for elegant jewelry, flowers and exotic treats.

Since she hatched in the scarred wasteland she does not consider herself an earth dragon and insists on describing her eye color as a 'shade of red'.
