Astrum is a quiet, dignified dragon. While he treats everyone politely, he is also quite cold, and his attitude comes off in such a way that it seems he thinks that he's superior to others. He does, however, help out a lot around Brighthaven. Wherever there is a difficult chore to be done, Astrum is there helping in some way.

Astrum isn't very close with anyone, although most dragons in the clan do view him in a somewhat friendly light, since he helps out so much. He is only truly close with his partner, Noctem; they seem to have a very business-like relationship. Noctem comes up with plans, and Astrum carries them out for her. When in private, though, they're very affectionate and snuggly with each other.

Astrum, like his partner Noctem, is an agent of darkness, sent out into the world to seek out light magic, to consume it, and to hoard it. The fiery, golden glow in his belly comes from the light he has consumed. Astrum hunts down creatures imbued with light magic, and drains the light from them. He never goes after light flight dragons, however; the risk of being injured or worse is far too great.

For the most part, Astrum listens to his partner's plans and directions, and then carries them out. He doesn't exactly share the same wish of consuming all the light in the world, but he does feel a lot of spite and anger towards Lightweaver; he will do anything to undermine her power. He blames Lightweaver for the destruction of his home, as his original lair was utterly destroyed by Luminax. He watched as the emperor dragon destroyed his home and ate everyone he knew and loved; he is extremely angry that Lightweaver has not done anything about this monstrosity.

And so he works closely with Noctem, doing her will and spreading their ilk all over Sornieth to collect as much light as possible.
