Biography

Timbles
(Tim and Bles, respectively)

TREASURES

Strawberry Delightful Wooden Unicorn Ripe Yellow Banana
Tim is more reserved, cautious, and a generally good and polite child. He loves snacking on strawberries, and trying to follow around the older dragons of the village. Bles, on the other hand, is a spunky baby with an endless supply of sass and a habit of running around shrieking like a demon. The only thing that can quell his rage is a banana to eat. The both of them love their wooden pull-along horse, always referred to as “Horsey” and nothing else. They quickly discovered that fighting over it is a lot more effort than just sharing it, and having the toy struggle to roll with both of them pulling it different directions is amusingly similar to their own plight. Turquoise has tried to teach them teamwork, but it never works out. For example, Tim wants to play house, Bles wants to play treeclimbers, and apparently “treehouse” isn’t a fun enough game to keep either of them captivated for more than fifteen minutes at a time.
The thorns lining Timbles’ fluff makes the pair a difficult baby to hold. Usually it allows them to be independent and learn the world for themselves, but occasionally when they have to be scooped away from pythons and alligators, their savior has to ensure that there’s not a thorn buried under fur that would otherwise pierce their palm.

Tim and Bles were always an… unfortunate case. Nobody knows exactly how, as their mother disappeared quickly after, but their egg was laid in Nature territory and promptly abandoned. Some dragons around the pair theorize it was an attack on Nature gone wrong, where an aberration trying to invade abandoned her egg in the root systems underneath the Labyrinth and fled, too afraid of being discovered. Of course, nobody will ever know for sure; it’s not like they can track down the mother and ask her, right?

The root systems were, frankly, great for hatchlings raising themselves. They were able to teach themselves to speak fragmented sentences by spending months listening to bits and pieces of conversations echoing from above. The tunnels were bountiful, too. Tim could pluck june bug larvae out from the tunnel walls while Bles dragged plants under by their roots and munched on them for a crisp snack. A deep instinct told them to keep moving and not be found, so they wandered just beneath the Labyrinth, Tim longing to go west while Bles dragged them eastwards. They saw all of the sights (if the sights are the dirt beneath the sights), and tried to find the best land to occupy. A trip underneath the Gladeveins left them soggy and upset, a trek beneath the Wild Sanctum caused their bodies and minds to be stuck as hatchlings permanently (oops), the Shrieking Wilds were far too loud for their liking, and eventually they settled on the Worldedge Wetlands. The ground there was soupy and mushy, but the tunnels went far enough underground that they didn’t risk being discovered, so they decided to go with it, until one day when they heard fragments of an interesting combination from above…

“It’s terrifying, Celduin! If these dragons… Aberrations… had survived for this long, imagine what else is lurking out there!”

“Turquoise, it’s just a two-headed dragon species, even if…”

Two-headed dragon species… TWO HEADED DRAGON SPECIES. “Tim! They discuss US,” Bles squeaked, pointing up there. Bles thrust sharp claws into the tunnel roof. “Bles get us KILLED,” Tim began to wail as the three-headed half of the Aberration broke through the surface and dragged the hatchling through. Of course, they were met with horrified shrieks, which quickly attracted the attention of the entirety of the Treeroot Village. Soon, dozens of faces were staring at the baby Aberration. Tim retreated into his fluff with a sniffle, while Bles took the opportunity to happily introduce the pair. “Me me Bles! He he Tim. We we Timbles!” Of course, they were instantly scooped up and cooed over, even if their new caretakers had to make sure they didn’t stab themselves on one of the aberration’s thorns.
