Caretaker of Frog Bog

Lore blurb by Piktsy! Genes gifted by a kind user!
The trees parted and a worn foot path leads you down to a small bog. Along with the whirring of mosquitos and swishing of leaves as the wind blew through them, you can hear a low croaking. The closer you look at the swampy water, the more shapes you can make out, sitting side by side on a piece of log, sticking up from the murky water. Dull green, muddy brown, and dark soil colored frogs took turns croaking their song. The air buzzed with ribbits and low gaggling, but something seemed off. You don't remember the frogs croaking when you approached the bog. They were silent as if they had just been disturbed. Suddenly, ripples disturbed the water’s surface, and with a loud splash a snapper the color of leaves in May with beautiful hickory marbling appeared from beneath the water, a wide smile on his face. Sitting atop his head and shoulders were more frogs who seemed to enjoy the company of the snapper. "Did you like that little swim, Penelope? I know Roger isn't a fan of playing underwater." He giggled, looking to the now grumpy looking wet frog on his shoulder. "Aw, cheer up Roger!" He finished before spotting you. "Ahoy! Come to enjoy Frog Bog? It's my most favorite place in all of Sornieth!" His enthusiasm made you smile back and him and nod at his question, captivated by this friendly dragon who was completely at home with nature. Toadstool is a happy go lucky dragon that loves hanging out with his smiley friends. Frogs make the perfect companions to him as they enjoy all of the same things he does, swimming, fishing and relaxing in the warm sun. |

∘ | Backstory | ∘
Toadstool hatched alone, by a pond in the Wetlands. When ‘broken’ gene scrolls were littered at the Frog Bog, the nocturne’s appearance became remarkably more frog-like. As a snapper, he could blend in with the Bog, eating sprouts growing on its banks and chasing off carnivores trying to eat his precious frogs.
|
∘ | Religion | ∘
Toadstool has always believed that his lone, parentless egg was a gift from the Gladekeeper, so he respects her a lot. He thinks that his deity intended him to look just like a frog, and the “nonfunctional” gene scrolls improperly thrown out near the Frog Bog were brought to him specifically by destiny.
|
∘ | Clan Life | ∘
Toadstool is a bit infamous as a clan representative among the locals; he rarely shows up to meetings and on the few and far between occasions in which he does, he's always covered in algae and frogs. He's incredibly informal about basically everything, and seems unaware of his sheer size. Tables have been broken. He is well-loved, though, it seems his puppy-like demeanor is a bit endearing to the neighboring clans. This makes him effective at upholding peace, just in the most incorrect way possible.
