He and Imp often can be found sleeping and working together on new and inventive spells and arcane magicks. There was long ago a joke that if they continued to be attached at the hip that they'd fuse together. This has not happened of course, for the benefit of everyone in the lair however, it is no secret that they share a relationship that goes deeper than that of 'friends'. That if either of them were to be separated from the other, it would be an unfortunate premature end of the other waning away thereafter.

Being the more outgoing of the two, Malin can be found outside of their shared workshop more often than his darker companion. But to say that he is more friendly, or more empathetic to his surroundings would be a lie. Malin, certainly can speak with other dragons, and quite often does however, he finds it exhausting and will return to the workshop in short order.

He has more of a hoarding instinct than Opus, and while the darker dragon may accept others into their shop --Malin will bar the doors and run out any critter that dares set foot inside.

Some of his private achievements were ice that never melts, and charms that keep elemental lightning magic contained inside an orb--to which if touched arks to the point of contact. He feels that in time, he may apply this to a larger scale and harness that of the Stormcaller to power larger inventions more reliably without the need for arcane ability.
