Umberstep

First knight of the Frozen Throne. She and her adopted daughter, Treasure, were welcomed in by Queen Cardani. When Cardani died after her mate succumbed to the blizzard, Umberstep took over. She had a few ideas for how to try and run the kingdom more efficiently after having worked so closely with the prior ruler for so long.

Tragedy struck her brood though. All of her children with Agravain died of illness or by centaurs, and on the same day that she lost the last of that clutch, Treasure was killed by a new member to the kingdom. She wallowed in her grief until a necromancer brought Treasure back to her, and since then she's been... strange.

Umberstep began to kidnap hatchlings, attacking and having those who spoke out against her killed and turned to hollow shades by her pet necromancer. She had kidnapped 22 hatchlings before someone tried to stop her. Enipeus was the one who stealthily slipped her the poison, slinking away before anyone could know it was him. But when Clarity found the Queen dead she brought her back as a shade to rule as a puppet.

Her crazed rule continued, she and Clarity kept recruiting new dragons, and brainwashed the kidnapped hatchlings to be loyal to them. She was finally stopped, her reign and unlife brought an end by her love Agravain.
