Hegare

Descript1 | Descript2 | Descript3

Among the stalls and tents that compound the Altar's market one in particular catches any newcomer's attention, the embroidery that decorates the canvas around the tent displaying vibrant patterns and radiant symbols that feel warm from the distance. The owner of the tent can be seen under the shade of it, an autumn colored obelisk adorned in gold and olive, working on her weaving despite no visible reel of thread around; she seems to be going thru the motions as if for practice they were.

Once a potential customer approaches, she smiles in a welcoming manner ready to bargain as usual. She offers threaded clothes and garments of her creation and design, the colors tend to be sunlit and lively with patterns and decorations revolving between flowery and regal varieties. The stacked looms scattered around give off a weak shine, picking them to examine one would notice the emanating heat, not too hot to burn but pulsing and clinging.

"It's a special kind"

[]

Sometimes the days went over too quickly, Hegare pondered as she took the clothes and canvas off her table folding them neatly on their crates. The day had been hectic, this time they set camp near the flats bordering old Tidelord's domain, the villages here were small and clustered but still greater and more colorful than the last place they visited. It was an enjoyable change of pace, to wander smaller lairs to gather supplies and whatnot, any of them could find something for themselves and relax under the summer sun; which was specially helpful for the obelisk as she needed to thread new sunlight, preferably from a place that actually had light in the first place.

Freshly washed shells were carefully saved under wraps for drying, the dragon already envisioning how they would be used to decorate the new fabrics she had traded for some of her stock. The buyer seemed pleased with their adquisition, fawning over the smallest details and praising the handywork, something that made Hegare glow with pride, the client's commentary giving her ideas for new decorations for the apparel she would be working on before their next settlement.

If someone as passionate as them would take her tutoring it would be a dream... unfortunately, her craft required a certain devotion, she could sense their potential but they were also fickle and with her own doubts and unexperience she feared they would drop the interest quite quickly. She was worried to not have anyone to rely her knowledge to, but not desperate, yet.

Other

Her raw material of choice is cotton, although hard to come by she does her best to obtain it.
Sunthread weaver, imbues spools of thread with the essence of sunlight in order to conserve warmth and create energy for the wearer, the energy created can be used for enhancement or defense of oneself. A dying craft, one that she's focused on preserving.
Although she knows plenty of techniques of it, she has had to improvise or adapt old methods to ease the teachings to any curious dragon interested.
Hegare spends most of her time off practicing and re-learning the twists and knots, writing down any curiosity she can find and commit to memory as she believes her sight will eventually fade.
Believes one of the best ways to preserve sunthread is thru passing or as a gift. To use sunthread as a weapon or tool is to corrupt it's intent thus causing it to dwindle and fade until the contained magic dies off.
