Biography

Baikal's avatar
Baikal found herself joining the underdogs of Frogpond Clan after a run-in with their previous trader-- and being wholly unimpressed by her skills, but fond of her stories of the clan. Baikal was raised on the icy tundra where her cool colors helped her blend in when hunting. She tagged along with her mother to do some trading at the trading post, which is where they met Solari, a skydancer with nerves of balsa wood. Solari was busy fidgeting and attempting to haggle an overpriced item, and Baikal swooped in to rescue her from being hornswoggled. Solari was impressed by the young Nocturne's zest and invited them to come visit. Baikal was considering leaving home anyway, and decided this was the place. It felt like fate. So now, Baikal is the resident trader and assistant to Solari, the treasurer of the clan. Baikal has a fondness to scavenging and gathering, as well, but particularly in caves. She has discovered fossil beds, gemstone veins, and pockets of clay for the potter dragon, Peace. She brings her pet sugar glider along and they traverse the long lava tube caves together for days at a time, bringing back lots of trading fodder to bring riches to the clan. She gets along with most of her clanmates, but especially likes hanging out in the Boughs when she can, trying out their art practices or attending strange performances by the Sisters. She has a curious, kind demeanor and has a hard time sitting still. She often forgets abandoned tasks or projects, and her corner of the hoard is the messiest by far.
