Clan Leader

Before The Clan

Flame was a being created by Flamecaller herself. He had been made as a Banescale with a single purpose: prevent any more major wars within Flamecaller's domain. He traveled around and stopped any fights that tended to break out after the famine and a whole chunk of territory became uninhabitable - causing more clans and kingdoms to fight each other for more personal territory.

At first he had no real idea on how he was supposed to do any of that. He messed up more than once and had to break up an even larger fight as a result. But, they eventually got it figured out enough after a rough battle that made him fight to stop it. Stopping them by showing his anger was to be feared was really the only way these dragons were able to learn to live together with him. They weren't proud of it at all, but.. it worked.

Multiple wars were stopped by Flame before they began to realize they could settle down and actually find a home for themselves. He struggled with the concept of not roaming for a while, before Flamecaller returned and revived the land that had caused so much strive generations earlier. With her return, she also created 2 new beings, Coatls by the names of Ember and Coral, to protect the land. A much simpler task but she once again left them to deal with the fallout alone. Flame decided to stay with the two, and help them learn about the world so that they could actually figure out how to do certain tasks without messing up too horribly.

When it had come down to welcoming new dragons into the area, he didn't really care. He mostly just ignored them when able, and talked with them when he had to. But when the change happened, and he and the others fell asleep for a while and woke up as Obelisk dragons instead, he felt so betrayed and angry. His whole life the only constant had been himself, and now he was changed possibly forever. But watching the other dragons in the land begin to accept the change so easily, and the talk of it being a new chapter in their lives. He looked to the sky and wondered if listening to Flamecaller had given him anything good. He had no answer.

Clan Life

Despite being a Clan leader, he doesn't really know how to "rule" them-self. So, they tend to focus on more minuscule tasks in the Clan that Coral puts him up to, and tries to make friends. He's a better fighter than most of them, being created by Flamecaller giving him an edge that even Mothking and Thundershock can't deny. Especially when he was created with fighting in her mind. But, he doesn't like to fight as often as the others spar. He typically ends up being used as a heater by Strike's charges when the nights get cold and he doesn't have the heart to tell them off.

Learning to relax was one of the first things Blaze and Flame were taught by Winter, who came to the Clan a bit later. Winter didn't even try to hide what he was doing, and made them take a few breaks to relax instead. Flame found it to be very difficult, but managed to enjoy sunbathing and watching life go by. The smaller things in life. He even made a friend in Fireclaw and Eternal, a Molten Iguana and Phoenix who stay by their side no matter what these days.

They know Flamecaller will return one day, and make him continue his task all the time, like he had before the Clan. But he knows that aside from the occasional trip he has to make now, he's able to stay at home and enjoy himself for the first time in his life.
