clan treasurer and accountant, Pene (pronounced 'penn' or 'penni', they don't seem to show a preference for either pronunciation) spends much of their time counting and recounting coins, or mapping out the clan's financial security. mathematical reasoning comes easily to Pene, and they think more often in terms of numbers than anything else.

quiet, reserved, and mysterious, Pene spends spends little time outside the clan treasury, lurking about the carefully- organized piles of coins and valuable artifacts. anyone who enters the treasury will immediately get a face-full of wary Coatl, wings flared protectively in the intruder's line of sight, and spouting interrogatories in a hissing, airy voice. while such a protective nature is usually helpful, when keeping an eye on the clan's stores, it can be a bit of an irritation when the treasure is actually needed for transactions. Pene only answers to Rai and Bluebell (both being Pene's superiors in politics), or Corselia (given Corselia's work, they have to work together. Pene does not trust Myco, however) whenever treasure needs to be taken out. while Pene may answer to only these three dragons, that doesn't mean they're any less reluctant to part w/ the treasure, so going to the treasury is usually a hassle left to Corselia, who is better at placating Pene.

Pene is equally meticulous as they are protective of the treasure hoard, thus the treasury is painstakingly organized by coin value, age, and irregularity, among other aspects known only to Pene's definition of proper organization.
