Oh, Eben and I have history. This.. ill-mannered piece of shade-bowing, arrogant obelisk has made my life extremely difficult! He is disgusting and rude, and a genuinely hope you never have to interact with him or his /crew/.

Do you know much disinformation he has spread?? At his age, I'd hope he floats off with the lightweaver soon enough.

Addendum by Torval; He doesn't seem so bad. We played a few games of a card game- but the name eludes me. Normal deck with one card with a magnetite drawn on it; fairly certain it's a lightning deck.

He was asking about where I came from and who "that wildclaw fella with me" was. I don't know if I should tell Demise.

H I S T O R Y

It's generally agreed upon that Eben is the dragon who created the Blacklight area. Of course, the real dragon is Blacklight, but he just started the tunnels. And then died. Under mysterious circumstances. Nobody really knows who.. well, took 'care of him', or whatever happened, but a lot of dragons just plain don't care. Apparently Blacklight was a real piece of work.

But even if Eben didn't build it, he woke it up. Blacklight area used to be this.. threat, among people. You'll be banished down there, they said, into the lightless, vast city, alone and scared. A couple ne'er do well's did get thrown down there, and while wandering, they found a statue.

And that jade statue, buried deep, was Eben. When he shook off his former shell, he was welcomed with great joy. Eben swept up all of the exiles. They had no money, or anything; a few pieces of apparel and some food, but tunneling while attempting to carve out homes proved to bring in enough gems and treasure for them to start a market. And Eben protected that market, and every new dragon who walked in to atone and to live again.

He became somewhat of a living legend, after he defeated a collection of bounty hunters after a small skydancer. Eben is always ready for a card game, or a fight; whichever one you may be seeking. Nowadays he's the de-facto leader of the Blacklight Area, keeping the record of who and what passes through the tunnels.

(for those curious; "kylliksi on kansalaisverta vuodatettu" is a quote from a Finnish propaganda leaflet from the civil war in 1918, urging people from Tampere to surrender. It claims that the whites (who sent out the leaflet) did not kill their prisoners, unlike the reds, and instructs them to send a representative (with a white flag). Roughly, it means "the blood of the citizens has been shed enough"

Needless to say, definitely a big'ol lie.
