A relative newcomer to the Etherium, Gilt was rigorously educated as a battle-scholar in the Sunbeam Ruins and arrived with glowing referrals and countless accolades. He is unfortunately rather full of himself, and his determination to do things by the books often clashes with the Etherium’s less, well, strictly ethical approach to research.

His radiant good looks and determination to climb the ranks have made him a target for Courtier, who sees him as a threat paltry irritant. Gilt is aware of the situation, but in his naivety has thus far failed to grasp how much influence Courtier exerts on the Etherium behind the scenes. A power struggle is bound to ensue.

Over time, several members of the Etherium have noticed that Gilt reacts badly to the dark. They wish they had paid more attention to his file, now mysteriously gone missing, which mentioned a failed expedition to the Hewn City…
