The head doctor of Clan Crescent, Calanthe dedicates herself to providing the most current treatments available. She abhors the title of "healer" and is often at odds with her assistant, Tau, who was trained in a more traditionalist school. Even so, she rarely complains about anything other than a lack of supplies or equipment; her sickly colouration, alarming to other coatls, has turned many other employment opportunities away from her.

She appears aloof and cold, rarely associating herself with other dragons beyond her duties. Calanthe is very attached to her patients, however, and can at times show a wealth of compassion towards those in distress.
