There seemed to be nothing, just a listlessness. For they were mere wisps created from choices not chosen, opportunities not taken, and dreams that were all but forgotten. Fractured pieces of what could have been. They were left to wander, not truly conscious or aware of anything.
A shift was felt in the Veil and the new presence caused the wisps to gather like a moth drawn to light. The aimlessness abated as the magic wrapped around them like a blanket. They felt a pull as Mythrine's magic flared. It swept through them like a wave mending old scars while awakening something new. It burned, it hurt, and the newly created souls were blinded by the flurry of colours. And then another strand of magic joined and a regal imperial came to stand by Mythrine, watching over the souls.
The flame of life burned brightly.
