Or a new stuffie!” - Princex of the Bellaria Clan By: kawacy • a b o u t • To her, the moon looked like a creamy bowl of soup. They wanted to leap face-first into it and enjoy the magical buffet, but she knew her mom the Queen wouldn’t approve. She knew the Queen wouldn’t approve of a lot of the things he did, but she did them anyway. For example, just yesterday, she hid behind a bush and waited for hours for a soldier to come by so that she could lunge out of the foliage and scare them out of their skin. The Queen had grounded her, but the look on the soldier’s face had been worth it. She was sure the moonlit soup would be worth it too. She gazed at her room and sighed. Maybe once she figured out how to sneak out. By: kawacy
I took a tentative sniff at the flower my mother had pointed out to me and burst into a sneezing fit as the pollen tickled within my airways. I could hear my mother’s bright laughter behind me, echoing through the garden, and felt a blush rise frantically to my cheeks at my inability to stop.
“Mom!” I whined, only to stop comedically for two seconds before letting out the largest sneeze yet. My mother laughed even harder. When the sensitivity had finally gone away, she scooped me up and tucked me into her chest. “You knew that was going to happen,” I complained, burying my face in her shoulder. “Yes,” she replied chipperly, before planting a tender kiss on my forehead. “But I love you all the same.”
The Princess tried to weave her claws through her sibling’s silky mane and made a noise of frustration when it proceeded to slip from her grasp for the tenth time in five minutes. “Did you put oil in your mane?” she complained grumpily, trying desperately to tame the unruly hair.
The mane slipped again, and this time the Princess gave up. “I’ll just cut the whole thing off,” she threatened, pretending to look around for a pair of scissors, and laughed at the way her sibling shrieked and ran to the corner of the room that was furthest from her. “My hair,” he whimpered. The Princess shook her head fondly. Trust her sibling to be a coward. A cute coward, but a coward nonetheless. “Come back here, you idiot,” she said, exasperated. “Let me braid your mane.” By: kawacy
“Listen, it’ll be funny! He’ll scream like a baby!”
The Princess gazed at her sibling, rather unimpressed. “Mom is going to kill you.” The Princex whined, nudging her with his snout. “But,” he whimpered, “Just imagine! When we leap out of the bush together, we’ll smile the widest we possibly can, and we’ll look terrifying! And then he’ll leap out of his skin!” He let loose a squeal of mirth. “Won’t you scare him with me?” The Princess looked him up and down: his small figure, that childlike eagerness behind his eyes, and sighed, feeling fondness bloom in her chest. She really couldn’t say no to her older sibling. “Alright,” she said begrudgingly. “But if mom asks who started it, you’re on your own.” By: kawacy
