I'LL MAKE YOU A DRINK

______ In quite an average coffee shop, you would assume it would be quite a normal experience. Seeing people entering and leaving, coffees, teas, lattes and espressos at the cute little oak bistro tables. The owner is making drinks behind the counter, Tomi is his name. You can see him serving a Guardian lady a cup of tea and a scone. Everything is business as usual until closing time, at precisely 6:00pm, when Tomi proceeds to begin to was the day;s dishes, bake tomorrow's treats, and clean the coffee machines. While Tomi is cleaning, the little bell on the door rings, with an Obelisk gentleman entering, dressed in a white and green suit, and sitting at one of the tables. Tomi continues to clean wordlessly as the Obelisk stares at his paws. Eventually Tomi tucks his rag into his belt and asks a few simple words.

______ "Would you like a drink?" The man simply nods, as Tomi begins to pour a cup of Earl Gray tea. Silence echoes through the cafe, until Tomi pulls out the chair, with a slight scrape against the hardwood floor. "What would you like?" Tomi inquired, as he set the tea in front of the Obelisk, who's eyes have not left their claws. After a moment of tense silence, the Obelisk finally spoke.
"Money."
"How much?"
"Whatever I can get"
"How much you can get will depend on what you can give my friend"

Tomi smiled, the small candles on the wall contrasting the deep shadows of his face in the dim light. The Obelisk pulled out a small blade, and set it on the table. Silver, with a bone handle. Tomi picks it up and examines it under the candlelight. Wordlessly he takes a small pouch off his belt and tosses it onto the table. Tomi gets up from the table, putting the small chair back into place while the Obelisk continues to stare at the claws folded neatly on the table. As Tomi begins to place cups from the sink into the cabinets, he reminds the Obelisk of what he came here for, "Don't forget to pay the tip". With these words, the Obelisk finally comes back to his senses, grabs the pouch and tensely walks out the door, the tea still steaming on the table, untouched. Tomi chuckles to himself, knowing the poor man would not be able to repay him, he looks at the sharpened clawtips tucked in a cup, next to the steamer for the milk, for ease of use.
