December 24: After a long day of cleaning and preparing for a Christmas day meal with friends you happily crawl into bed and hope to have a good nights sleep. So comfy and cozy you start to fall asleep, then suddenly you hear a thud thud. Startled you get up and look around. After a couple minutes checking on things you see nothing wrong or out of place. Deciding it must have been the wind you return to bed, being after midnight you realize that sleep is going to be short.
December 25: It's Christmas day, or is it Christmas Night? The season of darkness is going on and your never sure what time it is. Warm and cozy you lay there thinking about what needs your attention first.
THUD!! What? Thud thud thud.. Startled and not sure what is going on you jump up and look around.
Thud thud!! Running around looking for the cause of the sound and thinking that it was just a dream last night you enter the kitchen to see a big mess. All your hard work scattered on the table and floor, what is going on.
Startled you call out Who is here? You can't hide anymore come out! No answer.. I know you are here and you have made a mess of my kitchen, so hiding is silly of you.
Just then you hear a small voice ask for help, startled you turn around to see a small tundra head peeking out from behind the Christmas tree.
Help, stuck..
Not sure what to think you approach her. Sitting there stuck in the lights and tinsel you see a very upset little tundra. Not being able to help yourself you burst out in laughter.
Stuck she says crying..stuck.
Ok little on you respond. But you need to promise me that you won't run off as soon as I get you out of this mess.
Ok.. I don't like being stuck.. help me..
Gently you start untangling her from the string of lights. Talking softly to keep her calm you ask her if she has a name and where she came from.
Name is Lightning but don't like it. Can I change it?
Yes Little One, what would you like to be called?

Well if you don't know, it's ok. It's not important that you must choose a name at this minute. Let's just get you unstuck. As you help her get unstuck you notice a Peace Dove keeps flying around her.
A couple minutes later you finally get her untangled and she happily smiles at you. Now little one tell me how you got stuck in my Christmas tree and about the mess in the kitchen.
I got lost and didn't know what to do, so I kept walking and trying to fly like the bird. But I was to little to fly good. I was scared and hungry, I tried to sleep outside. Then I smelled something wonderful and followed the scent, it lead me here. I seen the pretty lights on the tree and that wonderful smell, I had to see what it was.
So I came in. I didn't mean to make a mess and I didn't mean to get stuck. When I fell asleep I was little and fit behind the tree, but I guess I grew up.
Laughing you tell her that it's ok but she and her dove would have to stay and help clean up, for today is Christmas day. A day for friends and family to enjoy good food and maybe a present.
