Clan Songbird's progenitor and matriarch, she has been with the clan since the beginning, forming it in The Cloudsong with her mate and their band of misfits. A strong and devoted leader for many moons, she built the clan from nothing and settled it into a respectful position in Wind lands, and was a beloved matriarch.

After her mate's departure to serve the Windsinger, a rogue comet destroyed the progress the Songbirds had made building their lair and clan, and Hawthorne made the decision to move the remnants of the clan to Arcane lands, nestling into the Starwood Strand. The journey was long and rough, and many dragons were lost to the wild magic and strange creatures of Arcane lands.

She produced a son at the end of the journey, naming him after her lost mate, and deemed him leader of their newly-formed clan. Still, overseeing his progress and acting as a shadow leader, she continues to dedicate her life to her clan even to this day. Finding that her son cannot step fully into the role as she had intended, she is the true leader of the clan, and has a firm claw in every inch of clan politics.
