Gossamer is Clan Ironkite's field medic. The problem with this is, though, that she's also the clan's only medic. She can stitch wounds and heal bruises, but for other things she refers her patients elsewhere. For colds and other illnesses she sends them to Twinings, the clan's counselor and tea-maker. For grievous injuries she sends a runner to a neighboring clan with a plea for help. She has made a request for Clan Ironkite to hire a professional healer instead of waiting for one to show up (as dragons tend to join the clan by happenstance rather than being recruited) but thus far her request has gone unanswered.

She takes her work, training, and down-time all very seriously and makes exceptions in her schedule for no one but her friend, Kyrie, who respects her boundaries and timetable (and is quite busy herself.) Gossamer has no interest in finding a mate or lover, though she does occasionally nest with others in hopes of passing on her best traits to the next generation of hatchlings.
