A high ranking officer, he was framed for a murder he did not commit. The sentence was death. He instead took his own life. Being executed meant being demoted, and thus his family would have been moved out of the city. By taking his life into his own hands, he would still be ranked an officer, and thus his family could live a comfortable life without him inside the safety of the city.

His attempt at taking his own life was unsuccessful, and he ended up having permanent brain damage because of it. He gets frustrated easily, and runs from town to town, though never straying too close to the big cities due to being afraid of how big and claustrophobic cities are. He trusts no one, but he does enjoy running and even dancing from time to time if there's no one to see him.
