Maybe another small brief descriptor here? Could replace the physique thing by giving a brief description of something off with the individual.
Sorry, no lorem ipsum just a lot of the word text over and over. Purpose of this block to give a brief summary of information I feel like giving. Stuff like where the dragon lives, what they do, an idea of what they are capable of and how they feed. Possibly a hint of backstory as well as bits of personality. text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text |

High above the ground, in a spire set in a crumbling castle, a lone eye watches.
It seems to be all she ever does, nowadays. Coprina can't remember the last time she set foot outside these crumbling walls for herself, even though she's seen the world beyond through the eyes of countless others - it just isn't quite the same experience. Her quarters can hardly be called a prison, given that they're decked out with every creature comfort she could possibly ever want for, and to the unobservant outsider, there's nothing stopping her from heading out to take a little walk while she's on a break from research.
Flipping through the pages of her worn notebook, she traces the outline of the magical circle penciled on the paper. She's seen those markings so often, she could draw them in her sleep. A knock at the door has her scrambling to slam the notebook shut before anyone else can catch a glimpse, shoving it under a messily stacked pile of papers before clearing her throat. "Come in," she calls, praying her voice doesn't betray her surprise.
"Hi, Coprina!" The smell of coffee hits her first, before the door creaks fully open, revealing a cheery-looking pearlcatcher bearing a little metallic tray. There's a steaming mug of coffee on it, as well as other tidbits on a plate. Sweeping aside some of the wreckage on her desk to make room, Coprina leans forward with an appreciative sniff, being sure to flash the kindly dragon a thankful smile. This one had been sent by Zosimos, she remembers that now. His name is... Carlos? There's been so many others before him that sometimes their faces blur together in the recesses of her memory.
"Hope you don't mind that I stopped by. The others said they hadn't seen you leave your study since last night, so I thought I'd swing by with breakfast." His smile is so guileless it makes her feel bad about lying to him.
"Oh, you know how it is," she replies, waving a dismissive hand. Gesturing for him to set the tray down on the empty space on her desk, she reaches for the cup of coffee and takes a grateful sip - ah, the taste never gets old, even after a few hundred years of drinking the same stuff. "I thought I was going to make a breakthrough on my research, and one thing led to another, and before I knew it the sun was already coming up, haha."
Carlos perks up at that, eyes bright with interest. "Really? Can I see?"
He's inching a little too close to her desk for her comfort. For a moment, his hand reaches out - seemingly to pick up one of the numerous papers she has scattered about the place. From the corner of her eye, she catches sight of the familiar, weathered spine of her notebook.
He must not know.
"Eh, it turned out to be nothing in the end," she hastily adds, interposing herself between Carlos and her precious notebook before he can pry any further. A part of her wishes she didn't have to cut their interaction short, but the old paranoia is creeping in again, sinking its insidious claws into her brain. What if he sees the book, asks to know what's inside? What if he flips it open before she can stop him? What if he realizes the terrible, terrible truth - that she is bound to this place as surely as a prisoner is by their shackles, caged in a circle of arcane magic? It's been centuries since she last stepped beyond the boundaries of the circle, and there's no telling what will happen if she does.
Carlos halts, clearly disappointed. "Aw, okay. I guess I should leave you to it, huh?" Thankfully, he hasn't noticed the sweat beading on her forehead, or the way her hand is trembling.
"Yes. I should get back to work." She's about to turn away before she pauses, guilt gnawing at her conscience. "Thanks for bringing this, though. I really appreciate it."
If only you knew, Carlos. If only.
