History

The thought of being so scorned by the Deity that created them boiled their blood and made their rage deep. Aberrations, their kind, were not a mistake. They'd prove it, they'd become the best their kind had to offer. If they could achieve what the Plaguemother wanted from her first children, then their kind was not a mistake. And so, Duel fought on and on and on.
Their scars, thirst for battle, and stronger opponents lead them to Hollowwell, a place they soon became quite accustomed to. There were survivors here, and while their birth flight was not Plague, they valued Plague beliefs above all else. Surviving made you strong, the ability to keep coming back after setback after setback was true strength. It made Duel feel comfortable there. But comfortable didn't mean they stopped fighting.
They entered underground fights, fought tooth and claw, occasionally even having to take the life of their opponent. Despite their goals, doing the latter never made them feel good, but it was all for a higher purpose.
It was also in Hollowwell they met their ultimate foe, the Gaoler at the head of the Revedaen Church, the Archbishop, Godsen. Maybe most dragons couldn't feel it like they could, but Godsen... was on a whole other level of strength. Not just physically, either. The dragon's physique wasn't his strongest point, it was his overwhelming magic. Duel knew that if he could defeat Godsen, then he would achieve his goal. He would have proven that Aberrations weren't a mistake.
