The progenitor of the Coelacanth Crew, alongside Tethyan, Farallon has no memory of her childhood. She has wandered the shores as long as she can recall, and met her adoptive brother at a young age. Years later, she decided it was time to stop their nomadic lifestyle and find a place to call home. Conveniently, it was then that her brother began to hear voices from the abyss. After finding an abandoned hatchling nestled in the warmer depths, Farallon saw in him much of her brother's predilection for following voices, and named him Kermadec. She decided to set up a home base, where she could remain and to which her brother could return. Within the month, this turned into self-sufficient crew of misfits from all walks of life. Wanderers, outcasts, nobodies and demigods alike. It went well, for a time. But too often would her brother go looking for the things calling from the deep, and one day, after an entire terrible event, he disappeared. What came back was not him. It was old and many-eyed. It spoke stolen words and never once among them was the name of the Tidelord. When he did return, it was as something else entirely, eighteen times his own size, tenfold more wicked, at once twice and half as kind - eerily silent, he coils around the crew, protecting them from whatever it was he saw that changed him. He says nothing of the thing that wears his old shape in inverted color. He does not seem afraid of it. So Farallon, too, will not fear it. |
She loves her brother, and her family, and her crew. She has slain many monsters to keep them safe. So looking into the eyes of the leviathan, she is not afraid. ...In the meantime, when there are no earth-shattering, mind-bending horrors to deal with, she acts as captain and peacekeeper to the clan, settling petty disputes and keeping everyone in line. She watches over them with a firm but loving hand - though some have found her mothering to be stifling. She dotes heavily on her adopted child, Kermadec, but has also nested with the First Knight Ambrym.
