2003 - 2022

• my parents adopted him out of the back of a truck •
• his mother had died on the road, he was very tiny when we got him •
• I named him Merlin after the protagonist of the Lost Years of Merlin book series •
• my parent's dog kind of raised him, he spent a lot of time with her •
• was very large and fluffy when he grew up •
• very shy around most people, but he bonded with me quickly •
• loved chin scritches and belly rubs, the only cat I know who loved belly rubs •
• he could never meow properly, he'd either squeak or nothing came out •
• had a purr like a motor regardless, he was very friendly •
• he LOVED cantaloupe for some reason •
• also, whipped cream. whenever I'd shake the can he'd come running •
• he'd go outside on a harness & leash and sit in the sun for hours •
• he napped a lot in my mother's flowers and a wild catnip patch
• catnip had little effect on him, but he liked the taste •
• had a small nick in his left ear, not sure where he got it •
• most mornings I'd wake up and he'd be sleeping on my chest or next to me •
