Meilahi

Originating from an allied Lightning clan, Meilahi comes from a family of colorful characters. Perhaps her migration to nearby Clan Fulgurite was a matter of proximity; natal clan Arvoisa is almost a literal stone's throw away from Fulgurite's door, close enough that border guards recognize each other on sight whether words are spoken or not.

Lacking her father's aptitude for medicine or her mother's for spycraft, Meilahi has settled into Fulgurite as a craftsdragon. Her dainty paws are perfect for maneuvering fine wiring and tiny jewels, slipping cut gems into fastenings, and other such tasks the more war-like in the clan find tedious and unnecessary.

Of course, she often finds her skills appropriated by the technicians and scientists, who find her ability to manipulate fine wiring extremely useful for different reasons than Meilahi herself would prefer. Still, it's entertaining enough work, and it keeps her occupied and feeling useful even when she has her moments of doubt.

She's a non-combatant in a clan of warriors, after all. Sometimes it's hard to not feel useless and unnecessary, even when the warriors who suffuse the clan do nothing to cause such self-denigrating thoughts. No, Meilahi is treated quite kindly, but everyone has a dark voice in the back of his or her head. Meilahi's just speaks up a little louder on occasion.
