Courser

On the surface, Courser is an intimidating sort of person. He moves like a snake, always rushing from stop to start to stop again, and he clings to surfaces with his many sharp claws. His eyes almost seem to glow in the night, and the veins running across his gleaming hide pulse with deep orange light in time with his heart. He stays on the fringe of society, his den built in the boughs of an old, old oak tree.

But the light inside him is bright and loving for his sweet little pets. He's a near-accidental collector of small animals, most notably little things called noodleots, tiny whistling things that crowd his tree and bring him insects they've caught for him. He loves his creatures far more than other dragons might expect from his appearance, and woe betide anyone who so much as scratches one's skin beneath their soft, fluffy fur.
