POLVYTRES
Unfortunate Mistake
Sheltered | Tenacious | Unlucky
Polvytres was a rather unextraordinary dragon by Plague standards. He was too soft, too yielding, by far. Too trusting of strangers intentions, too reliant on the kindness of others. He had grown up too... coddled. Perhaps it was all of this that led to the fate the befell him. Maybe it was never fate at all but just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever the case, it's far too late for the Pearlcatcher now. It had been simple really, the logic. Polvytres caught sight of Rose's cottage from afar- the little house sitting just on the bordering lands where the influence of Arcane and Plague struggled to overtake one another. It was a bizarre location to settle, especially alone, and Polyvtres thought himself kind to give the Skydancer fair warning for his blunder. Was it his own fault for finding comfort in the other dragon's soft voice and gentle claws? He had only meant to stay for tea. Just a cup or two before he went back to the Boneyard. He never did leave that cottage. No one ever came to look for him, nor was his name spoken in any frequency following his prolonged absence. He was always too soft, that Polvytres. Always too trusting. Simply too coddled, growing up. His pearl, cleaved in two, sits in a careful display on Rose's work desk. |
