Weathered Grimoire
Born in the territory bordering Ice and Arcane, Whalebones immediately took an interest in academics from a young age. As soon as he was able to, he traveled further into Arcane's territory and joined a college at once. Sharp and witty, if a bit of a workaholic, Whalebones fit in like a duck fits in a pond. He breezed through his learnings and quickly took up the mantle of Professor himself, though he was finding himself bored by the daily routine of the school already. Not too long after becoming a professor, he took off again, back into Ice territory in order to explore all the frozen history lying in wait.

As a historian, Whalebones is fascinated by the sheer amount of information the Shepherds left behind in their city. So much was left behind and yet so little of it is comprehensible in the current era, shrouded in mysteries and context long gone. He is determined to fill in those blanks though, and happily leads most of the projects dedicated to unraveling the Shepherds' secrets.

When he's not busy bustling over research with Brother or comparing his notes to Lamprey's stories, Professor Whalebones enjoys rattling off history to hatchlings and young dragons new to the Shepherd's Alliance. Their full attention isn't even required for him, which is probably for the best.
