Aki grew up lonely and abandoned by the edge of the Behemoth.

She didn’t know if it was the grace of the Gladekeeper looking down on a hatchling that was not her child by either breed or eyes, but not once did any creature or dragon come near her. Therefore, she lived her life out in peace, trying to learn her way in the world with no parents.

However, the fact that no one approached her meant that she was often very lonely. As time passed and she grew from a child to an adult, as her coat grew from thin to thick, she felt herself wandering aimlessly around the Behemoth; she had been granted no job by the Icewarden - who gave every Gaoler a role in society - and over time, a white substance began to grow into her fur and latch onto her horns.

Slowly, as time passed, she felt herself grow lethargic and tired more and more often as she paced around the great tree overseeing the Viridian Labyrinth. At first, she ignored it, telling herself it could be healed overnight. When she almost blacked out one day, however, she finally admitted that maybe this was her demise.
