Biography

Ragi has never seen glittering snow before, so seeing it for the first time is truly something magical. And surprisingly, also something that’s quite harsh on the eyes. The way snow catches the light is pretty, but also pretty annoying for a shadow dragon like Ragi. He rummages through his pack, looking for a pair of shades that he has brought with him, only to not find them. Apparently he has forgotten to bring them. Great.

So Ragi dredges on through the brightness without anything to shield his eyes with. He tries his best to use his wings as a cover, but that doesn’t really work when the source of the blinding light is literally everywhere. After a while he settles on looking down at his paws. Which you should obviously never do. Because now Ragi has no idea where he is going. But so far, so good and Ragi manages to walk through the snow without making as much as a tumble.

But then it starts snowing, on top of the snow that’s already there. Now even looking at his paws isn’t going to get Ragi very far. But the sun is no longer visible, so at least there’s no blinding lights burning his eyes away. Not that he can see where he’s going, of course. The falling snow makes that near impossible. Ragi tries his best to walk in a straight line, but is absolutely sure that he is not. Moreover, the falling snow gradually changes into a full on snowstorm and Ragi has to close his eyes to continue. He thinks about going back home, but it’s not like he can turn back now. He’s too far in… Brambles, he really should have brought something for his eyes!

Just as Ragi is about to berate himself for his poor planning, the ground underneath him rumbles. He makes the mistake to stop walking, after which the ground starts rumbling even more and within seconds, the ground beneath his paws breaks.
