Just a pinch of black powder,
and one, two, three ...

Chord's job is to gather firewood and keep the cooking-fires and warming braziers burning properly in the Clan Magpie lair. Apparently, he used to be some sort of theatrical pyrotechnician; he was once heard to remark that the effect of the aurora borealis could be replicated in seconds flat using three chemicals and a bundle of toothpicks. He's also a skilled glockenspiel player.

Having grown comfortable with the fact that his new lair is not given to asking awkward questions, he occasionally now moonlights with the clan's performing troupe on special occasions. He hasn't become any more forthcoming about his past, though. All anyone knows is that he's a Wildclaw from a family of Wildclaws and that he's obviously an Ice dragon. (His distaste for summer heat when he can't wear his preferred heavy garments would give him away on that one, even if his eyes didn't.) He also let slip once that the hour of his birth was a significant one ... which is a little sinister given no other information.

He's great at keeping the orchard smudged and the stove evenly heated, though.
