Lineage

Biography

Tiamat
The Caregiver
{ "Twinkle twinkle, little star..." }

Cynefin’s very first Coatl dragon, Tiamat, was an unexpected blessing upon the clan. Arriving in a time of tension and strife between clanmates, where near-constant bickering permeated the Cave, the young Coatl fluffed her feathers and charmed her way into her clanmates’ hearts. Her coat is pale and monochrome, extremely unusual for a healthy dragon of her breed, but she is as lively as can be.

Her personality particularly caught the attention of the clan’s hatchlings - young heirs-to-be; the Lord and Lady’s third nest. Their elder brother, the Mirror namd Ormr, had recently joined the ranks of the Shadowbinder, and had since been unheard of by the clan. They, sensibly, presumed him to be dead. This had thrown the clan into turmoil and disarray - the Upper Ranks were bickering amongst themselves, hearts wounded and mourning, while the lower-ranking dragons feared what might become of them. Tiamat, through soothing words and gentle song, healed the cracks in Cynefin’s very foundations. When the arguments died down to tense silences and then rekindling relationships, Tiamat returned to the hatchlings in the Nest.

Ketevan and Diona were preparing to join their family in the Chamber by then, left alone for most of their hatchlinghood. The Coatl felt a rare spark of anger at the thought - of these two being left alone in their adolescence even despite their rank. It was no ones fault, truly, but Tiamat vowed it to never be that way again. She nurtured the two until they moved on, and every hatchling that has passed through the nest since has known love.

Tiamat decided to spread her reach farther through the creation of a Hatchery - Total Eclipse Hatchery - which would combine multiple clans in order to birth hatchlings that would be tenderly loved and cared for by both Tiamat and the clans that adopted them.
